Membership Choice

The variety of memberships offered have been carefully reviewed and reflect community voiced choices based upon personal needs. The competitive price points are reflective of SINGLE Memberships, DUO/COUPLES Memberships or FAMILY Memberships.

Each of these three categories are placed under the MEMBERSHIP TYPE listed below:
For example: A “Duo / Community Collective Membership” will represent a couple who live and work within San Mateo County.

Individual membership: One (1) individual only

Duo membership: Two (2) individuals living at the same household

Family membership: Two (2) parents/parent and guardian + two (2) children

Types of Membership

Memberships are designated by one of the following:

Residency • Senior • Student • Faculty/Staff • Faculty/Staff (non-prime time)

California State Select

A membership for those who live and work outside of San Mateo County.

Community Collective

A membership for those who live and work within San Mateo County.

Senior Select

A membership for those who are 62 and older who live and work within San Mateo County.

Student Select

A membership for students who are registered with 6-units or more at any one college or combination of colleges within the San Mateo Community College District.

Faculty/Staff

A membership for San Mateo Community College District faulty or staff working at any college location.

Faculty/Staff (non-prime time)

Membership discounted, for SMCCCD faulty or staff at any college location, with limited access as follows: Monday to Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m. – close

Dual-Site Membership

Dual-Site Membership to Cañada College Athletic Center and College of San Mateo Athletic Center memberships are also available.

Joining Online Charges & Important Details

  1. You must be over the age of 18.
  2. Charges will be as follows:
    • Enrollment Fee
    • Pro-rated First Month Dues
    • Last Month’s Pre-Paid Dues

Monthly dues will be automatically deducted on the first day of each month and charged to the credit card or debit card on file. To calculate your enrollment fee, pro-rated first month dues and monthly dues, click the Rate Sheet below:

Important information to consider when joining the College of San Mateo Athletic Center

*Family Memberships will reflect two parents or guardians with +2 family members that are ages 15–22. Parents must accompany children ages 15–16 at all times during the child’s workout. A special waiver is available for children age 17 to workout unaccompanied.

*Pricing: This is an Athletic Center on a college campus and the primacy of enrolled students in all departments are the primary focus. This is reflected in lower monthly dues and student pricing for membership and the hours of operation.

To the primacy of the student assistants who work many hours weekly and in support of their academic studies, the Athletic Center weekend hours are Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Rules and Regulations

We encourage our members to support and adhere to the rules and regulations to assurances of best practices and ease of process for the benefit of showing caring to our college students, faculty and staff and community members.

Dues During Freeze:  If pausing or freezing their membership, the member will be charged a 30% admin fee of their monthly dues each month. In the event the member’s membership is prepaid, the term of the prepaid membership shall be extended, without further dues, for the same period of the freeze. Except for military freezes greater than six months or unspecified, the membership will be reactivated and the monthly Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or credit card charge will automatically resume at the end of the freeze period.
